At the beginning of December, I participated in a two week workshop with Groundlings Improv. The workshop consisted of a variety of games, exercises, scenes, and foundational lessons on the rules of improv. We met with several different instructors for three hours, three times a week. My main instructor was the hilarious Jimmy Fowlie. I also had the opportunity to learn from Kiel Kennedy, as well as Drew Droege, with whom I had previously worked during a Masterclass at Pepperdine University. Overall, it was an incredible two weeks learning alongside such talented students. I look forward to returning to the Groundlings and furthering my journey with improv!
